This article aims at exploring to a considerable extent, the annals of fashion and its looming significance . It's no dispute, that fashion designs are reflective of time ostensibly effected by the various stages of civilization and industrialization.

More so,the schemes and forms adopted is also informative on the culture of particular localities and surroundings. Thus, from the draped linens of Ancient Greece to the casual T-shirt and jeans of today, the evolution of clothing and style, has witnessed broadened expansion over the years. Who would have imagined that T-shirts were invented in the 19th century or that high heels was once a popular trend amongst men. Lol, time flies right? But talking about time too, it's no news especially for anyone who's observed closely the rise and fall of trends, to intuit that some trends though overriding with time, are reiterated or restored and so, there's the question,''is fashion really time bound?''There are however facts to prove the negative. For instance, early Medieval women usually wore floor-lenght tunics called 'kirtles', draped over a linen shirt or under shirt.

Also popular amongst women were headdresses made of linen which covered their hair and held in place by a headband.

Popular fabrics were also embellished with beadings and

These preferences in clothing has not changed.
In recent times, tunics are still worn by men and women alike. Hitherto, current releases of popular brands like GUCCI, have also re-invoked cutting-edge embroidery designs in their wares. This is also indicative of the regurgitating quality of fashion. Just to rap it all up,I strongly do feel no trend really dies even though they may low for sometime. It is therefore trite to say that fashion transcends time as well as its relevance.

Yellow, one of the key trends in the 2017 fashion strides, has began to catch the fancy of most fashion designers and fashion houses. Plain yellow dresses, outfits and sun glasses in various shades are beginning to  take center stage in the current fashion scene whether on the runway or on the streets.
For me,it's quite a welcome feat and a renegade of the normal settee as designers and production houses prone to using cool colors like blue in all shades, orange, black, purple and a few also related to the class, are now seeing the need to try on some new stuff. And that's what trend is all about...innovation of style. Below are a few pictures with slightly different shades of yellow for your appreciation of the color.

Trend Vibes - The CROCS shoe.

Recently, I noticed how bad I'd developed a sort of fondness for my newly got pair of foot wears - the 'Crocs shoe'. Maybe because of  it's easy to wear formula combined with it's  light weight features and a very stable sole. But then, just when I thought I was the only one who felt this way about the foot wear, I notice a full pack of others. Though, History alleges that it was originally produced as a 'boating shoe' , it's adapted a wide range of functionality with the passing of time.
You'd appreciate the beauty of the crocs shoe looking at the pictures below  .

The Little Dream Chaser...How it All Started.

A veteran teacher, once made me understand that it is trite to note your starting points or periods of little beginnings,in order to determine your level of  progress as to how far you've gone. In retrospect,i do  vividly recall a childhood where i took on a liking for clothes with nice prints and motifs. And Mum and Dad had slowly began to get used to this little boys absurd craving...yea, quite absurd for his age actually.Even though,Frantically speaking, I did not have the priviledge of  a graced background where popular fashion brands like Mark & Spencer, Pro Neo, Prada, Calvin Klein and a few others you'd mention, were known and worn. They'd found it a lot more convenient and economical to purchase for myself and my siblings a class of lowly priced wears (but durable though) popularly known as ''OK''.

My Early Role Models:

At this time, the truth is,I scarcely had any role model or sect of fashion enthusiasts I admired.  But again, there was My Dad,a man well  known for his elegant dress sense or culture. He'd taught me a lot about cloth wearing and maintenance.I remember being enthralled by how he would starch and iron his clothes, placing each to a fold at every joint, thus, giving them that rectangular shape when he'd let them open. As trivial as it may sound, it did inspire me and lets say, that's where my candle got lit up.

 How we Got Kicking:

Back at high school,I'd had a lot of admirers and persons who wanted me to do a bit of mentoring on how to wear stuff and how to get that done properly too.More so, having to explain these things over and over, on an individual basis to a few persons who were either fashion disoriented or just needed some additional style to their catalogue was becoming tiring and overbearing too. It was then I realized how special my style was and the need to sell it to the world out there.Hence, the inspiration for my fashion blog.

The Journey So Far:

Hitherto, its been quite an adventurous road for me in the fashion space with routine activities like sketching images and pulsing dress styles and concepts for my everyday. But, facing the world out there is far more challenging than being confused about the right dress to wear to an occasion,I must confess, because a whole lot of persons may find it so difficult to identify and come to terms with what I wear on a daily basis. But that's cool least it paints a unique picture. Though I must confess how hard it's been having to cope up with this ends but still, fun knowing how much people recommend and appreciate my style.

Thanks for reading....I'd also love to hear your own story and I'd be glad if you shared it at the comment section below.

The Fashion Watchmen.

The Watchmen Series.

Woh! Long time no post. Really missed you guys plenty I swear. Had spent the past few weeks trying to wrap up my law exams and finalizing with school activities for the semester. Anyway here's the gist, all these while I spent quality time feeding on a few stylish Nigerian personalities and their requisite unique styles and believe me when I say that the scoop was actually worth the while. The more interesting thing about these personalities is that they have placed the country on a frontier position  as long as fashion and style is concerned in the continent and the larger world out there.
Below is a list of a few of these outstanding personalities also referred to here as 'Watchmen'.

Noble Igwe :
Popularly called ''Nobs'' by friends, is a blogger, founder and CEO of 360 Group. His rich style has gained a whole lotta notoriety on social media and has gotten ample recognition and acceptance from the larger fashion community.

There are a few things I'd love about him in specifics like his love for fabrics with African motifs and designs, and the ''no stress'' pattern which he would combine same with a pair of kicks or loafers. A few other things that would fascinate you, is his love for a set of caps popularly known as the ''Hausa cap'' and his ravishing look when ever he puts on the Fedora Hat. He's won a couple of Awards in relation to his contribution to the fashion industry in Nigeria and maintains a long standing reputation in that regard. His currently a Fashion Ambassador for PayPorte. Here are a few photos, just to fill your eyes. You could also see more for yourself by looking up his IG handle @noble_igwe.

2. Steven Onoja :
Next on the list is the retro zealot, Steven Onoja. Born and raised in Nigeria though currently residing in NYC. He derives his inspiration basically through arts and aesthetics. Steven has kept it 100 in his rich retro dapper looks. I tell you,if you're not a lover of retro outfits before now, you may want to change your mind when you see Steven.

Trust me, he's one of the many Nigerians who's conquered fashion space on the international scene as he's been featured on a couple of magazines like GQ Street Style, Details, Ebony and Men's Style Australia Magazine. So if retro fashion is your thing, the feeds below could do you a whole lotta good you know? And you could also look up his page for more @stevenonoja on IG.

3. Denola Grey :
Also, as one of the Watchmen is the young handsome fashion prince, Denola Adepetun (aka Denola Grey). A model, blogger, fashion enthusiast and Tv Presenter. His looks are the type you wake up to every morning to find on the net. Plus, his simplistic but mind blowing style is top notch, perfectly fitting on every occassion.

Apart from his simplistic appearance, he's got an overriding love for Sash Belts (look up my previous post on Sash Belts),a pair of shorts and the Tux too. You go look up his handle @denolagrey on IG for a proper view.

3. Akin Faminu :
our 4th Watchman is the dashing Akin Faminu. A Medic, fashion blogger, and enthusiasts. I guess you may have seen him on one or two occasions looking stunning in that Three Piece.

He's also the type that would love to blend a nice Tux with a pair of kicks. You'd also find him rocking some street casuals and a few retro looks too. If you are the type who loves to look like a perfect gentleman, then a one stop glance at his IG handle @akinfaminu  would be duly appreciated. You can thank me later anyway.

4. Tseyii Emami  :
And finally our last stop on the list of fashion Watchmen, is the ''street style pervert'', Tseyii. Lol,pls permit to say in my own words. His style, which is mostly an array of fascinating street styles,is so upbit that it could get you changing your wardrobe elements if you're not a lover of street swag.

I mean he wears it so elegantly that it's beggining to become his signature on the times of  the fashion industry more especially in Nigeria and hence, his right of place on the listing of Fashion Watchmen.Go see for yourself what I'm talking about on his IG handle @tseyii for more exciting street styles. Here's a few for your viewing:
